What are your thoughts on using a DJ for the wedding ceremony? The ceremony will be happening outside under a Lapa. Looks like plans for a string quartet might not work out and we have organised a DJ as a backup plan. A lot of planning has been invested in the wedding and reception and I would hate for it to appear tacky. Please help.
It is not uncommon for a DJ to be used for a ceremony. Sometimes the bride and groom have very special songs that they want for their ceremony and only a DJ can provide the necessary music. You can have him play any song you like, even classical music that could replicate the sounds of a quartet. However, make sure that the DJ is discreet and the equipment is well positioned so that the guests will not be bombarded both visually or audibly.
