Is pre-marital counselling really necessary?
We would definitely recommend pre-marital counselling! Being married is a huge change and adjustment, especially for couples that haven’t lived together prior to their wedding.
You both grew up in different homes, have a different upbringing and a different way of doing things. These pre-marital courses prepare you for what to expect, show you how to deal with conflict, teach about financial issues (separate or joined accounts), give tips on how to “stay in love” etc.
Ask your minister or marriage officer for more info about courses.
