Ah, the wedding photographer! Every bride’s fairy godparent – she or he is that magical person who preserves for posterity the wonderful memories of that glorious wedding day.
For the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, that special person – the Official Royal Wedding Photographer – was the talented portrait and society photographer, Hugo Burnand, who was aided on the big day by no less than five assistants.
Unbeknown to him at the time, nor indeed the happy couple, a little pink ‘wriggly worm’ given by HRH Prince Henry (Harry) to one of the little bridesmaids in an effort to keep her entertained, wriggled into official photographs of the day. Just one of the little quirks of wedding photography!
