Your invitations and stationery
should reflect your personal style and taste as well as your wedding
day theme and decor. Look for ideas in bridal magazines or even
ask wedding stationers to show you their portfolio to get an idea
of styles you like. Remember to try and carry the same look and
feel throughout all the stationery, from name cards and order
of service to the menu and seating arrangements to invites and
save the date cards, even thank-you notes.
Save the Date magnets are always useful especially if you have
a lot of guests travelling from afar. Save the date cards should
be sent out at least six months to a year before your wedding.
The Invitations can be sent out six to 8 weeks before your wedding
day.
Gifts or favours for guests
are usually small items placed on the table for guests to take
home with them after the wedding. They are usually given to say
thank-you for attending the wedding or sometimes the bridal couple
will give something that is more of a momento such as a small
frame with a picture of the couple inside. Popular gifts include
chocolates, sweets, small bottles of champagne or liquer, sugar-coated
almonds and candles.
