Q&A | For the Bride[BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS]
My wedding guest list has gotten way out of control, how can I trim the list down to a more manageable number?
Firstly, go over your list with your fiance and put each guest into category A or B. The A’s are the absolute must-invites, which would generally include your close family and close friends. The B’s are for all of the remaining guests.
Now weed out your B list further by asking yourself the following questions-
- How close are you with this person?
- When was the last time you saw or spoke to this person?
With these questions in mind, you can rate each guest by assigning a number in a scale of 1-10, 1 being ‘very close’ and ‘have seen them frequently’, 10 being ‘not close at all’ or ‘I have not seen them in a long while’. Based on the score for each guest, you can cull your wedding guest list down in an efficient, non-emotional way.
