Q&A | Etiquette[BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS]

If we invite the children of close family members do we have to invite the children of non-family members as well?

Some parents are very sensitive on the subject of their children and feel they should be welcomed everywhere and anywhere they are, whereas other parents relish the thought of having some free time away from their family responsibilities, so it all depends on the individual.

But if you have to make a definite decision, then we suggest that, to avoid any awkwardness on the day, try and incorporate the close family members children into the wedding, so that they become part of the wedding party, then you can stipulate and be clear on the invitation that no children are allowed.
